Connect Claude (web, desktop and mobile)

Add Budget Smugglers to Claude as a custom connector, sign in, and choose whether Claude may make changes.

Add Budget Smugglers to Claude as a custom connector. You set it up once on the web or in the desktop app, and it’s there on your phone too.

Custom connectors work on every Claude plan. On the Free plan you can have one.

Add the connector#

In Claude, open Customize › Connectors.
Choose + Add, then Add custom connector.
Name it Budget Smugglers and paste the server URL:

Choose Continue. Keep the sign-in settings Claude detects, and choose Add.
Claude opens Budget Smugglers. Sign in if you need to.
On the consent screen, leave Let it make changes on, or turn it off for read-only access. Choose Allow.

You can close the browser tab and go back to Claude.

Team and Enterprise plans#

An owner adds the connector for everyone under Organization settings › Connectors: choose Add, then Custom, then Web, and paste the URL. Each member then finds it under Customize › Connectors and chooses Connect. Everyone signs in to Budget Smugglers as themselves.

Use it in a chat#

Choose + at the bottom left of the chat box, then Connectors, and switch Budget Smugglers on. Then ask away. Things to ask has ideas.

On your phone#

You can’t add a custom connector in the Claude mobile app. Add it on the web or desktop first. It then shows up in the mobile app.

Change or remove access#

To switch between read only and read and change, disconnect Claude and connect again. Disconnect it under Settings › Connections in Budget Smugglers. See API tokens and connected apps.

You can also remove the connector in Claude. That stops Claude using it, but Budget Smugglers still lists the app until you disconnect it there.
